Whatever happen to pro-action?

So far all I see is reaction and very lot of inconvenience that assure no safety.

Pro-Action:

1.  Get a group of “non-expert”, experts and criminals in a room to brain-storm on not only air travel but all types of public transportation mode

Reaction:

1. Wait for someone to do or attempt to do some horrific and make everyone else suffer while running around with your head chopped off and promising that everything you are doing is for your customs/citizens safety.

Pro-action:

2.   Use no scare tactics to show the public that you are doing something

Reaction:

2.  Wait until something happen and scared the crap out of everyone with chaos and misinformation

oh well

I have begun settle in for the LONG Chicago winter center. My survival kit is almost complete.

This year all the leaves are off the trees except for the bushes in the back and the lawn is prep and ready to ride out the winter. Got some fired wood on order to be delivered this week.  All my golf equipment is packed up and stored away just waiting for Spring. Th only reminder is my putter -  I just couldn’t put away my putter. Now the indoor fun can start.

I just begun building a new helipad for my Blade MCX in metal shop in the basement.  I wish I had the room for my 400 but I don’t.

Pantry and freezer is stocked. My training room is ready with new floor pads.  Oh – yeah I am so not ready for the snow and cold weather.  I like being outdoors.

All of this preparing for heavy snow and staying in the house because everything I like to do is close for the season or snowed/iced over is not fun.  Cold weather and me…we are not friends.  I would prefer “a” scorpion walking across my bare feet than that Chicago wind (Hawk) beating me down.

Last year I was going to go snow mobiling and “play” in the snow but the weather was “too” bad when we went.  Maybe this year I will go cross-country sking after I get myself one of those pocket GPS. You know just in case the weather turns bad.

But am I at home developing my R/C helicopter?  NAW…I am in a hotel room writing this blog because I am snowed in.

I am not ready for Old Man Winter.

This morning I was surfing the channels and I can not help but wonder about the media.

Seriously, why is it that Paris gets more attention than her parents and grand parents? Other than having smart people around her attempting to guide her – what has she accomplished?

It is seven o’clock in the morning. Where are the cartoons? It is no wonder why I don’t watch that much telly.

I am doing well. New stuff will start coming in this week.

I have received several (only 3) e-mails about leaving comments.  Other than a bogus e-mail or bad URL and/or blank messages I don’t know why your comments are not showing up.  I will look into it and do what I can to fix the problem.

As for me I believe that it would be great to read some comments and get some ideals and different opinions.

How about it…

Are you getting tired of being picked on?

Just because you single does that makes you the office baby sitter? Married no children than you should have to pay more taxes because you don’t have any kids.

Just because I do not have any children do not mean that my wife and I are not family.
Just because I do not have children do not means I am better off and should have to pay more taxes to support other people children. Where is the fairness in that?

Answer this question who choose to have those children? They should be the ones that pay the extra taxes. Tax break for all or none…that is what I say…stop reaching into my wallet for other people problems.

I am going to stop now because I don’t want to hurt any feelings but I am getting tired of being picked on.

Now I am going to my corner to chill because there is too much stupid stuff going on and coming out of so call leaders mouths these days.

This morning I am cruising down the slippy wintery highway to work.  I am cruising a good speed and out of no where a car is coming up my “tail” really fast.  It cuts into the right line really fast and it kept going until it stood up on in front fender.

AHHHH!!!! It was a horrific accident.  Many of us pulled over and rushed to the Black SUV to see if the “idiot” was okay.  When I get there she is screaming at people to get back into their car and mind their own business as she was trying to push the vehicle out of the mud.

I arrived at work a few minutes before start time…she made the radio. I wonder how she is going to explain that accident to her insurance people?

I do not want you to think I am a pessimistic but believe it not there will be no full economical recovery until after 2010.

Why?

Because the people in the “know” are ignoring one major component of a free market system.  Actually, they are ignoring many basic fundamental laws of microeconomics and macroeconomics but that is another blog.  What are the economists working for the government missing? They are missing and ignoring the “household.”

A quickie:

1.  Household = Workers/Employees = Consumers = You
2. There are “no” needs in the market only “wants.”

Do you have that? You do not have to understand #2 just remember it.

Financial Institutions make their profit from loaning out money and charging their customers fees for the privilege of hold their customers’ money that they loaned out. Consequently, many types of financial institutions do not make money unless their clients are in debt to them.  In truth, it is a little more complicated then that but that is a core statement.

The issue: The consumers cannot conduct their fiscal life like the government. What does that mean? It means that consumers can borrow (used credit cards, loans, and mortgages) only so much before they have to cut back on their spending to pay off their debt. Businesses cannot survive without the consumers spending.  Is that a true statement? That depends on your present situation in this “recession” that we are in or not in.

Before we go any further, please understand. That any time the government tries to help businesses it is capitalism but anytime the government tries to help the consumers or small businesses it is called socialism or communism.  I must make it clear I am not hear to promote capitalism, socialism or communism…I am here to promote taxpayers, all businesses, consumers and the growth of this country.

The Federal government sent out an incentive check to the majority of the Americans citizens awhile back in hopes that they would “consume” and build the economy. In fact they plan to do it again and even offer some projects that promise some “jobs.”   Answer these two questions and you will understand a little about how the “government” economists are thinking:

Scenario #1 (Pocket money)
You earn $200,000 or more a year. You receive an incentive check for $1,500. What do you do with it?

Scenario #2 (Less than Drop in the Bucket)                                                                                                                                                         You earn less than $35,000 a year. You receive an incentive check for $1,500. What do you do with it?

Scenario #3 (Not FDR era)
The government offers you a job to build highways, railroads, building cable networks and other National and State infrastructures.

Is this being realistic?  Out of 1000 men/women at your present job now – how many are qualify for this type of work?

Scenario #4 (six months recovery)
Every US citizen 18 years or old receive a $250,000 (net) check after the 30% tax on the incentive check.
What do you do with it? What does the government do with tax revenue?

Scenario #5 (Long-Term)
1.    Cut military spending on equipment acquisition by 15% for the next two years.
2.    Increase Higher Education Spending by 15%
3.    Increase aid to State’s Public Educational System by 20% cut from Iraq budget
4.    Pass a tax-break bill for all businesses
5.    Lower household taxes
6.    Introduce and pass the infrastructure plan but include research and development
7.    Cut civilian contract by 50% and increase governmental hiring up to 20%
8.    Ensure that the incentives to business are loans are paid back and are not given away.
9.    Raise minimum raise
10.    Get the government out of the business of choosing industry leaders.
11.    Renegotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (“spaghetti bowl”) into an Americas Free Trade Agreement to include Central and South America. (2030)
12.    Open up the borders by providing a Worker Visa for “all” friendly nations (maybe we should include Mexico too who has never supported the USA in any war or conflict throughout their history)
13.    Add scenario #4 and the Global crisis will not be so bad – at least from the U.S. consumer and small business point in view.

Think about it. We all know that the Trickle-Down Theory does not work yet the economist keep pushing it.  How about trying the Trickle-Up Theory or better yet why not try both Theories simultaneously? A double edge sword is aways better than a single butter knife when it comes to a battle.

Until there is consistent demand and a better plan there will be no quick recover.  I believe that the current suggested recovery plan as suggested will take 24 to 30 months before any sign of recovery and the average person will be no better off.

Does that sounds familiar from you six-year old? Is your seven-year old – just not getting it. They keep making the same mistakes over and over and not learning?

Well guess what?!? There is scientific evidence that you are not going insane. In the ScienceDaily there is an article that states and goes into the detail as to why your child has a radical different learning strategy than what you and I think they should have.
